I have accepted the challenge to read 30 books this year. The second book I completed is Paula Hawkins’ Into The Water. After reading Girl on The Train and absolutely loving it, I had to see what else Paula could come up with and boy did she not disappoint.
Without giving the story away (because I hate spoilers and you might want to read the book), Paula utilizes an interesting writing style by writing from the varying perspectives of each character. While this can be complex and tricky to follow for some readers, I think it was impactful in telling the story. It added an additional dimension that helps the readers to see the story from all angles.
The book touches on topics of suicide, internal familial relationships, betrayal, rape, and relationships with minors. I can definitively say that if you enjoyed Girl on The Train, you will like this book. I especially loved the ending! It is kind of suspected, but not really but still mind blowing.
