I was sent the Cover FX Power Play Foundation to test out and review. The foundation is described as “a modern-matte foundation with weightless full coverage that provides sweat proof all-day wear, powerful shine control, and environmental protection.”

I am not really a fan of wearing foundation. I prefer to wear BB cream. My favorite is by Kiss, which I either order from Amazon or pick up from my local beauty supply store. However, I have been wanting a more matte, photogenic, finish and have been eyeing out various foundations. It just happened to work in my favor that I was sent the Power Play Foundation from Cover FX.

The foundation definitely does what it says it will do. It is for sure matte but not drying. I make sure to apply a moisturizer and primer before applying the foundation. This foundation is for sure weightless. The reason I love BB cream so much is because it literally feels like there is nothing on your face. The Cover FX Power Play foundation feels the same way. It is not heavy nor does it make your skin feel as though you have on a ton of makeup.

I don’t think I picked the correct shade for my skin color. However, I also am use to using an orange corrector and I think (still need to test out) if I remove this step the foundation will be a closer match. I have the shade G70.
