Ashley Antoinette is one of my favorite writers. Today the second book of her Butterfly series is released and I thought it would be a good day to show this Black woman author some love!
I was first introduced to Ashley Antoinette through her joint series with her husband, The Cartel. Let me tell you (!), if you have not read The Cartel series start now! It is full of twist and turns. It truly is a page turner. There are eight books in the series which can be overwhelming but it’s so worth it.
Ashley Antoinette also wrote the Ethic series, which was just as crazy as The Cartel. The Ethic series has six books and they are all page turners. While her stories are filled with drug dealers, sex, and high fashion, they are without a doubt depictions of Blackness and all its variations. Her books even come with playlist! How dope is that!
