To celebrate Rosé Day, I decided to (kinda) blindly pick three different brands of Rose from the store to try them out and give my review. I am no wine connoisseur or even a burgeoning expert. I simply wanted to drink and thought I would share my reviews of what I purchased.
Ava Grace Rosé 2018
Price: $8
Rating: 8/10
Packaging
I was attracted to the bottle. I loved the geometric patterns on the bottle. Not to mention, it looked expensive considering the price point. I love being fake bougie!
Taste
The taste is extremely smooth! Never sleep on wines because of the price point. I did chill the wine for about a day before drinking it. I know some people don’t like cold wine but I do, especially rosé or whites. The after taste is much better than the initial taste. I can say that I started to get a little buzz off of one cup. AVA Grace contains 13% alcohol so it packs a punch.
Cupcake Rosé
Price: $10
Rating: 6/10
Packaging
I picked up this bottle because I associate cupcakes with things being sweet. The packaging also gave off the vibe of being sophisticated but also being fun.
Taste
The taste was too bitter for me with a very tart after taste. I now have a whole bottle of this wine that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy, but I will still drink!
Barefoot Rosé
Price: $6
Rating: 9/10
Packaging
Nothing too exciting here. The label of being most awarded is what stood out to me when buying this bottle. I have had other wines from Barefoot but never tried their rosé.
Taste
Out of the three that I tasted, this is by far the best! It had such a smooth, but still sweet taste that had me eager to finish the bottle. The color of the wine is definitely on the lighter side, which is a clear indication that this would be sweeter. Nonetheless, it was satisfying to drink on this lovely Saturday.
Like I said, I am not a professional wine taster. I just know what I like. My suggestion would be to try all these wines yourself to see whether or not you like them. If you do, give me my credit, but if you don’t like them, I know nothing!
