Sneakers are the greatest thing on this earth! As of lately, sneaker culture has taken on a whole new identity. Trey Soles and I talk about our love for sneakers, the changes within the sneaker community, and the difficulties of being a woman in a male-dominated arena. It has been very difficult to continue this habit because of all the gatekeepers in sneaker culture. Representation definitely matters in the world of sneakers. I can appreciate that platforms, like Instagram, has brought more Black women across my timeline that share a similar obsession. The next step is to get more Black women in the design rooms. It is evident based off the design for women that there is a lack there.
