On this week’s segment of A Kiki with K!, I went live with Ashley. Ashley was a professional athlete. She has played tennis since she was just seven-years old. We talk about how she got into the sport, which led to her being the first Black recruit to the University of Montana and the opportunity to travel the world. She has now transitioned into broadcast journalism. Our convo did go on a slight tangent to talk about books, the state of sports with COVID and cats.
While I did play sports in high school, mainly as a means to get out of class, my knowledge of many sports is very limited. As you will see in this episode, I know very little about football. Now, if you want to have conversations about basketball, I can go all day! With the steady increase in COVID cases, I think it would be best to discontinue sports until it is safe for players and staff.
Ashley and I also talked about our love for books. If you are an avid reader like the both of us, be sure to follow Ashley and I on GoodReaads. I love to see what everyone is reading.
Be sure to follow Ashley. She covers stories in Inglewood and surrounding communities.
