Have you ever read a book where you clearly see yourself in the main character? Do you share the same opinions and even passions? Well for me, that was how it was reading Take A Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert.
I read the first book in this series, Get A Life, Chloe Brown, which I loved. It is not necessary for you to read the books in sequence but the first book does give you a good introduction to the characters.
In Take A Hint, Dani Brown, Dani accidentally falls in love with the security guard at her university. As many career-driven women, Dani avoided serious relationships but a social media fake relationship landed her into an actual relationship.
Dani and I are so similar. I am working on a PhD, so is Dani. Dani avoids commitment when it comes to romantic relationships, so do I. We both love to run wild through this world with no care. I appreciate seeing myself in the characters that I read. It allows me to connect with them, as well as visualize the story a lot more. I believe Hibbert has done a good job making her characters realistic and relatable. In no way am I a helpless romantic but what I appreciated most about this book is the idea that love can come from unknowing places. Talia Hibbert does a great job making dynamic characters.
The trilogy to this series has yet to be released but will be coming soon.
