New year, new ways to make me better! One way to be intentional about the upcoming year is to set goals for yourself. In this blog post, I will share some of my goals for this year as well as providing a goal setting worksheet to help you achieve your goals as well.
Making it out of 2020 was an accomplishment in itself. It was not an easy twelve months whatsoever, but it did put some things into perspective. Last year helped me to truly question what I want for myself and how am I going to get there. It’s all about that action for me and that is why I follow the S.M.A.R.T. model when goal setting.
S.M.A.R.T. Goals
S.M.A.R.T. is a mnemonic for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time Bound. With this model, I am about to be very realistic about what I want and how I can do it. To get this year going, I have identified three goals that I will accomplish by the year’s end.
Goal #1: Become Dr. Branch
This has been my goal for the longest but when I tell you it will happen this year, IT WILL HAPPEN THIS YEAR! It has been a long time coming but I can definitely see the end. I have already put in the work and applied for a degree conferral so it’s happening.
Goal #2: Post 10 Blog Posts a Month
Blogging has been such a great outlet for me because I enjoy writing and disseminating information. This blog has also been my form of ownership because I completely own this site and its content. I want to continue p
Goal #3: Saved a Fixed Amount of Money a Month
I am not the best with money but I am also not bad, but I want to get better. I want to save a fixed amount per month. The amount is my business and you don’t need to know that. I want a more positive relationship with money and it has to begin with myself.
