Traveling is something that I do often. It allows me to get away from home for a bit to recharge and reset. I try my hardest to make my traveling experience as seamless as possible. In this blog post, I will highlight some of my travel essentials that make traveling much easier.
Packing
Waterproof toiletry bags
A harsh reality when traveling is that our bags are tossed around potentially causing any liquids (oils, lotions, perfumes) to spill. Waterproof toiletry bags are a game changer. I found this trio on Amazon and use them all. The smaller bag is often used for my makeup, while the medium and larger size are used interchangeable for my toiletries depending on the vacation. I also bought these bags in black people I knew there were less likely to get as dirty in comparison to the other colors.
Packing Cubes
Depending on the length of the trip, I may use packing cubes to organize my clothes. One way I use packing cubes is by packing complete outfits together or by packing similar items together (i.e. shirts with shirts, pants with pants). I think packing cubes can be helpful in keeping your bag organized.
Jewelry Case
One part of the vacation slay is to also have the jewelry intact. These portable jewelry case is perfect for traveling. It is nice and compact and all the necessary compartments to keep your jewels in one place.

There are certain electronics that you must travel with to make the trip worry-free. Below are some of my favorites.
A Portable Charger
I have the Anker Powercore 10,000 Portable Charger. Actually, I have two. I tend to swap them out whenever I need a charge. This compact portable charger gives my devices a full charge from 10% twice over. These little things definitely pack a punch. I also purchased a shorter Apple charging cord which makes using the portable charger easier when traveling.
Portable Fan
Climate change has the world going through extreme weather conditions. This summer has been unbearable hot. A portable fan has been ideal. This particular fan can be recharged through USB which makes it very convenient. It also collapses making it easy to travel with.
Tripod
Is it a vacation if you don’t capture the memories. This handy tripod allows you to record the best #OOTD and other content on your trip. No need to prop your phone up when you can use this handy tripod to capture everything!
Beauty
Makeup Brush Cleaner
Tik Tok was the reason that I decided to buy this product. It is effective in cleaning your brushes with a single swipe. This product is not a replacement in cleaning your brushes with soap and water, but more so a quick alternative. It is the best on vacation when you need to clean your brushes really quickly. Simply dip the brush into the product and wipe it across a napkin or towel. Boom your brush is clean!
Lace Spray
Lace spray is a necessity when on vacation. You cannot be the girl with the sliding wig on vacation. I love this travel size EBIN spray. A few layers of this spray will make sure that your lace not move.
Most important – PPE
We are still very much in a pandemic. Covid is not over. Although restrictions around travel have become a lot more loose, I would never recommend not traveling without a mask. Even more so, I remember overhearing a conversation on a plane where another passenger shared that we should always be masked on a plane because we should not be inhaling the chemicals on planes. So on your next vacation, be sure to mask up. My favorite are the KN95 masks.
