Los Angeles has a very cool, city-wide program going on called Dine LA. Participating restaurants curate a preselected menu for a fixed price. Restaurants normally list their most popular items.
Yesterday, my best friend, Alex and I went to Gyu Kaku in Beverly Hills. For $29, you get a lot of food! Only downside is you have to cook the food yourself.
I started with the miso soup, which was so good! I love miso soup. It’s so refreshing and tasty. I also had the Japanese fried chicken. They were small nuggets of chicken that came with a sauce (all I can remember about the sauce is that it was good 🤣). I also made sure to get my edamame.
Next came out all the meats. I had the premium sirloin, garlic shrimp and garlic chicken, with a side of corn.

Gyu Kaku is one of my favorites for the food but not necessarily the labor. Dine LA is an awesome program and I’m glad LA is doing it.
You can find participating restaurants here. Dine LA runs from January 12-26. Go eat!
