If you have made it this far, you have a lot to be grateful for. As the week/end of thanks ends, it’s important to reflect on all the things that we often take for granted. Here are five things that I am grateful for right now.
Good Health
There are so many people that will not see the end of this year, largely due to coronavirus. As I am writing this post, there are 13.6M cases of coronavirus with the death toll in the US being 268K. I send my deepest condolences to anyone that has lost someone to this virus.
I have done my fair share of recklessness amidst this pandemic. I’ve gone out to eat, traveled, and even been around people that have actually had the virus. Despite it all, I am grateful that I am still in good health.
Financial Stability
I am grateful that I am able to maintain some sense of financial stability. While I do not make nearly as much money as I would like, I am thankful that I do not have to worry about living without. My bills are paid and I have still been able to buy all the other unnecessary things that I want. Most importantly, I have been able to support many of my friend’s recently established businesses. I am grateful that I can do these things during this economic crisis.
Family and Friends
I do not have the biggest biological family but I am grateful for my hand-picked family, which are my friends. My friends have been so patient with me on my journey and I am so appreciative of them. They come through for me when I need a good laugh or whenever I need some company. They don’t even know how much I appreciate them.
Growth
If this year did not reveal anything to you, I would advise doing some self-reflection. I personally feel that I have mentally grown so much over the last few months. I have no energy for things that do not positively serve me. I am just overall more happy and I can see my life falling into place exactly how I want it.
The Future
Although what lies ahead is completely unknown, I am grateful for what the future holds. My spidey senses are definitely tingling and letting me know that the future is super bright. I am excited for what is next on my journey. In the new year I will be turning 30, I will finally become a Dr., and I hope to travel more.
