Beyoncé’s relationship with Adidas has blossomed into something that I couldn’t even imagine. When Ivy Park first launched as a part of Topshop, it was real questionable. However, Ivy Park underneath the Adidas umbrella has offered a fresh take on athleisure that is both functional and sexy.
I was unable to get anything from the inaugural Ivy Park drop. While I was extremely sad, I waited patiently and I’ve been able to get a hold of every piece I’ve wanted since, starting with the Beyonce superstars.
Beyonce Superstars
I was extremely apprehensive about these shoes. While I love the traditional adidas superstars, the added platform and pointed toe on Bey’s version left me very confused. Nonetheless I reserved for the raffle on adidas apps and surprisingly won. When I got the shoes, I still didn’t like them that much. I still haven’t worn them. Watch my unboxing below.
Ivy Park Drip 2
Now when Bey announced Drip 2, I knew that I would do everything in my absolute power to get the catsuit. The catsuit was calling my name! Just like everyone else on the webs, I placed the catsuit in my cart on the app and it sold out immediately. Defeat took over me but it did not hold me down. I went over to eBay and simply did a scan of what was on there. Many people were selling the catsuit $60-$80 over retail. I wasn’t interested. Finally one seller went lower on their price and I was able to get the catsuit for only $40 over retail and I am so glad that I decided to pull the trigger. The way that the knit fits the body and accentuates all the better curves on the body is amazing. Let me also mention all the mens I was able to snatch with this catsuit on. I am forever indebted to Ivy Park and Beyonce because of it.
Drip 2.2
Drip 2.2 – The Black Pack came just a week or so after Drip 2. Bey gives you no time to get your coins together at all, and I do not care. there was only one item that I wanted from this collection and that was the “gender neutral” jumpsuit. Since I have gained some quarantine weight, I ordered a large but that was way too big. Unfortunately I had to return it because there was nothing that I can do with it. I was able to order another size and hopefully that woks.
Adidas x Bey is something I would have never imagined would be this fire. I absolutely love this partnership and look forward to what is coming next!
